Chronicles of Aviara
This adventure begins with a meeting. Some meetings begin in a tavern. This meeting began on the streets of Evercoast City.
A dwarf and a halfling enter the merchant’s district, and orc enters from the Trapper’s District. The dwarf, a Ferrous Manus, 117th of his name, is seeking to bring honor and respect to his family name and to the Quarrysmith Trade Union by setting up a smithy within Evercoast City. The halfling, one Oswald Copperbyte, is trying to better his position within the Pit Fighting circuit. Although neither knew each other on the caravan coming in to the city, they both realized that they needed to see someone in the merchant’s guild, and Oswald, and any good rogue would, had a contact within the city. After getting their bearings they were soon off to meet with this contact.
The orc, Torna of the Frostbite Spire Tribe was looking for answers to pressing questions for her tribe. Those questions lead her to Evercoast City. Upon entering the city she came across a young Tiefling being accosted by the City Guards. After trying to aid this seemingly innocent street urchin, they both found themselves in jail. Devaña, the Tiefling, was being arrested for illegal arcane contraband, and Torna was subsequently arrested when she claimed the Tiefling was her slave.
Zsnezvik Yzenix, was a goblin bureaucrat working as a notary within the Merchant’s Guild of Evercoast city when his boring day of stamping papers came to an end when Oswald Copperbyte came into the office. He and his companion, Ferrous Manus, 117th of his name, were each trying to get information, but without an appointment, things were not going to go as they had planned. An argument erupted and Zsnezvik’s manager came bursting into the room. Not wanting to deal with this chaos, the manager directed the dwarf to a blacksmith who had been requesting assistance for the last three years, and handed Zsnezvik and letter informing him of his transfer to an office in the Artisans’ District. As for Oswald, his contant, Zsnezvik, would have to give him the information he needed at a later time, specifically after Zsnezvik had vacated the office. Zsnezvik had final additional duty for that office. Accompany the escort of two prisoners to the farmlands, and process their paperwork once they got there. Those two prisoners, Devaña and Torna, were to spend three weeks doing community service for their crimes.
